Two founders, one stubborn problem.
Cardiotrack was started by an engineer who came home to build medical hardware and a technologist who had spent a career on what technology does for people who are far from it.

Co founder and Chief Executive OfficerA medical electronics graduate from VIT, Bangalore, Avin spent five years in the Netherlands before returning to India to start the research that became Cardiotrack. He is a recipient of a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation grant for healthcare.
He runs the commercial side of the business: the insurer relationships that put the platform under real underwriting volume, and the lab network that carries it to the pin codes a hospital never reaches.
Ashim Roy
Co founderAn alumnus of BITS Pilani, IIT Delhi and the University of Adelaide, Ashim worked across Australia, America and Canada before returning to India in 2007. His earlier work was on using technology for socio economic development, which is where the access problem Cardiotrack exists to solve first became concrete.
That background set the founding constraint the product still carries: a device a health worker can be taught to use in under twenty minutes, and a reading that does not need a cardiologist in the room.

- 2014Uber Diagnostics Private Limited is started in Bengaluru by Avin K. Agarwal and Ashim Roy.
- 2015The first Cardiotrack handheld ECG ships, built for primary care rather than the cardiology suite. Research runs alongside St. John's Research Institute, Bengaluru.
- 2016Screenings recorded in 21 countries, including India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Mexico and the United States.
- 2019Listed in the WHO compendium of innovative health technologies for low resource settings, and named in the NASSCOM League of 10.
- 2022The platform moves from device sales to running pre policy medicals end to end for life insurers. 1,64,613 cases handled to date.
- 2025The 1,04,767th signed report goes back to an insurer, across 829 cities and 13,297 pin codes.
- 2026Two patents filed: the AI medical examination, and validated AI ECG interpretation.

The AI medical examination
A system that conducts the complete insurance medical examination as a spoken conversation, in any Indian language, and produces a verified, tamper evident, physician signed record.
Validated AI ECG interpretation
Five models read the same ECG independently, a consensus engine weighs them against each other, and only an agreed reading becomes a report. Where the models disagree, the case is escalated to a person instead of averaged into a number.
