The applicant is not asked to sit in front of a camera with a stranger at a scheduled time. They talk, in the language they think in, at the pace they are comfortable with. That is why the examination can be taken at eleven at night, and why an interruption costs a few minutes rather than another appointment.

A medical history given in a second language is a worse history. Someone describing a parent's illness, or a medicine they stopped taking, says more when they are not translating as they speak.
The language can be changed in the middle of the examination and the examiner switches immediately, without restarting. Whatever language is used, the report is written in English.

Is this a video medical, a VMER?
No. It is a voice examination. There is no video call with a person at a scheduled time, which is exactly what makes it available at eleven at night on a Sunday. Identity is established from a photo ID and a face check before the questions begin, and that result is printed on the report.
Can it run our questionnaire, or only yours?
Yours. The examination is conducted in the order your form sets, with your wording and your follow ups. That is the point of it: what your underwriter receives should look like your form, filled properly, not like our form translated into yours.
How do we know the AI did not put words in the applicant's mouth?
Because the transcript of what the applicant said is on the report beside each answer. An answer is only written when it can be verified against their own words, and where it cannot be, the question is asked again rather than filled in. If an applicant corrects themselves, both versions are on the record.
What happens if the applicant stops part way?
They resume at the question they left, from the same link. Nothing already verified is asked again, and nothing that was not answered is treated as answered.
Does a doctor see the case at all?
Yes. The examination is conducted by the AI, and the record is physician signed before it reaches you. The AI does not replace the sign off, it replaces the appointment.
